This is absolutely one of the best purchases I've ever made. It is easy to assemble and take apart and has a very nice appearance. I have one small dog who doesn't care for children but we were having house guests for Thanksgiving who have children. I was able to extend this gate the full length and put it up between the living room and office doorway. The dogs were able to be a part of the visit because they could see what was going on but still had their own room and beds. It was easy to walk over and to slide out so they could come out for potty trips. It is very well constructed and very attractive in appearance. I will be using this for many years to come.

We purchased the large gate to span a width of 72" and keep two small dogs (8#'s and 22#s) our of our carpeted office. It fit perfectly. Looks nice, good quality, good construction, easy to assemble. It is also easy for adults to step over. We would highly consider purchasing another one like this, if we ever need it.

I purchased this gate because I wanted something to complement our home, be functional and look nice. This gate is lovely.

It has a nice wood finish and sturdy metal posts. I was concerned when I saw it that their little paws might get stuck between the posts but after they were behind it I saw otherwise. It would seem it is the same metal used for the training crates.

There are no problems with the strength of the design. We use it for just across the kitchen as we plan to get a smaller version for another area. Although it is capable of adjusting to a smaller size, it seems it would not be ideal to do very often. It is made for occasional adjusting not daily. There are large bolts that screw into the wood which may cause wear if adjusted too much.

There is no problem stepping over the gate.

We have chihuahuas of three different sizes. The largest is 12 lbs and might be able to jump over if she were interested but has never tried. I do not know for certain. All understand that when the gate is there, they go nowhere!

It is a just little heavy for me at 5'0" 96lbs.

I like that there are side corners that fold in and out. You can use it against a wall to coral a pup and it will have sides where he can look out. The only suggestion I would have is to add a little something to the corner panels so when moving the gate they do not flop out. We plan to add small magnets.

A good purchase.
